Last Day at the Nasi Lemak stall

February has been a long month, and my nasi lemak business at Kuchai Lama was kinda slow. So after a month of business, I have decided to cease my operation there yesterday. I did not regret with the decision, as 'rezeki' comes in different ways. I have yet to decide to look for another location. So for now, I'll be supplying them to office areas or shops from home. For those who didn't get the chance to come over to the stall, you can always order from me. I will only take orders for 10 pax and more and you can choose with or without other 'lauks': Ayam goreng rempah, Sambal Sotong, Sambal Kerang and Rendang Ayam. Price ranges from RM1.50 to RM7.00.

There are some foodie projects coming up, hopefully to be confirmed soon, Insyaallah. If that happens, I'm going to be one busy bee.

Well, other than that, I've received a couple of orders lately:

A friend, Teoh, ordered a Blueberry Cheesecake which was submerged in blueberry topping made from scratch. I did a 1/2kg for him since he didn't specifically said how big he wanted and I knew he was going to eat it alone. 1kg just for himself is just plain greedy. :)

Birthday red velvet cupcakes order from Muzie for her Liverpool fan nephew who turned 14 this year. This is the first time I ordered edible printing online, thanks to a scuba diver - baker friend, Tiara for the contact. I have to be careful

of the measurements next time because these ones were a tad bigger than the cupcake size. I'm glad the nephew like it even though it's a bit 'cacat'. No frontal photo, so I guess this will do.

I received orders to supply 30 creme caramel cuppies for a shop in Ampang. They were looking for someone who can supply desserts, so am glad that they like it after sampling one. Thanks to the friend who introduced me to them. I used the cupcake pan mould for these since I did not have a proper one for a size 8 plastic container. Whoever knows where I can find them, do let me know. And as usual, I forgot to take photos of them. If you ever wonder what a creme caramel pudding looks like, this one was taken at friend's house, already nearly disappearing from the plate. Never be shy with the sauce.

And finally, a photo of my nasi lemak taken by Inez when she dropped by at my stall last week. Thanks babe for the photo, the one and only close-up with chicken rendang and sambal sotong. And again, already half way eaten. :)

Now, I'm waiting for photos of the stall from another friend. At least I will have some to remember and to remind me how I started my first ever nasi lemak business :). Those will be in the next post. Till then.
